We are a husband and wife team, Miranda Perry, and Michael Whitworth, uniquely qualified to support teenagers and parents. We

  • are both qualified coaches  
  • have worked extensively in senior roles dealing with teenagers
  • are parents of teenagers.

Miranda Perry

Miranda has an MA, and diploma in counselling. She has trained and volunteered as a Samaritan. She has a diploma in coaching with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).  Miranda is a trained mindfulness practitioner. 

Miranda has worked in secondary education variously as a senior leader, teacher, adviser, governor and  Ofsted inspector. She founded and directed the hugely successful national charity World Class Schools Quality Mark, supporting the development of   young people’s skills and characteristics  to a world class standard.   She has been the lead facilitator of  international research trials, funded by the Department of Health, exploring strategies to support young people’s mental health in school.

Michael Whitworth

Michael has a diploma in coaching with the EMCC. He is a qualified Mental Health First Aid Champion.  He has an MA in developing positive learning environments for teenagers.  Michael is a trained mindfulness practitioner. 

After training as a teacher, Michael worked at a number of schools in and around London. On becoming a Headteacher, Michael worked at three very different London schools, the first becoming one of the most improved schools in the country and the next two earning Ofsted ‘outstanding status’. Michael has overseen the leadership of teaching and learning for a national educational charity.
