How we help.

Our support is focussed on what working parents want, and tailored to the needs of the company.

corporate coaching

“Four-fifths of employers said that working parents’ presenteeism is a growing issue, caused largely by  the employees’ concerns about  their children.” Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Health and well-being at work, April 2022

Focussed

We focus our programmes on what working parents say are their greatest challenges.  Some examples of these challenges are:

  • working  effectively with your children’s  school
  • being a working parent, while supporting a child who has special educational needs
  • managing key educational transitions such as those between infants and juniors or primary and secondary school
  • managing your child’s  homework and revision
  • coping with your child’s school related anxiety
  • what to do if your child doesn’t want to go to school
  • managing your children’s mobile phones and other electronic devices

“Working with Miranda has just made everything seem so much more manageable,” Rachel, employee, Barnet local authority, about employee support group.

Tailored

“I cannot speak highly enough of the benefits working with Michael has given us,” Louise, Hertfordshire local authority, about 1:1 coaching.

We tailor our foci, and the ways we work,  to the bespoke needs of each company’s employees.  Some of the ways we work with companies are

  • a series  of Lunch & learns for parents’ and carers’ ERGs.  These can also be delivered as standalone events.
  • employee learning set/ coaching/ support groups, working on line or in person with a small group of colleagues (normally around five or six) who have a shared interest or concern surrounding parenting which they wish to explore in depth.  The group usually has four monthly meetings, and the foci is determined by the group
  • one to one coaching. often in tandem with the company’s  EAPs or coaching offer.  Organisations nominate colleagues for one to one coaching in order to support with parenting issues which may be impacting upon their work and wellbeing.  Normally, there are six one to one sessions with a client which usually take place on line.
