Coaching is now well established as a highly effective means of support for teenagers and adults with ADHD.

This  coaching focusses on addressing issues caused by inattention and impulsive/hyperactive behaviour. Coaching works particularly well when used in collaboration with prescribed ADHD medication. Medication helps control difficulties in focussing, impassivity and hyperactivity. However, coaching is then very valuable in addressing the skills and attitudes in which those with ADHD will still require support; for example organisation and developing confidence, self esteem and social skills.

Coaching a teenager with ADHD

Whilst coaching for people with ADHD is proven to be effective, it can take longer to see results than a coaching programme for those without ADHD.

A coaching programme for a person with ADHD may take up to 12 months to produce effective results.

At Abrial, we have extensive experience in helping teenagers and parents with ADHD to become their best selves. Our aim is to help clients better understand themselves, find strategies which work for them and make their own decisions about the future.

We would be delighted to hear from you.
