Michael and Miranda have delivered a series of webinars to members of DLA Piper's parents and carers network. Their insightful sessions provided invaluable support and practical strategies for parents and carers of SEN children. The expertise, experience and empathy that they brought as a partnership to each webinar made a significant difference to everyone who attended and supported DLA Piper in its desire to become more inclusive.
I would highly recommend Abrial's coaching courses. They provide an excellent service to schools and students, go the extra mile to get to know the students that they are coaching and delve deeply at the root cause of the concerns. They empower young people to resolve any issues causing a barrier to their learning or progression.
Miranda and Michael have a great ability to build relationships with all parties involved, especially the relationships they build with the students whom they coached. They worked diligently to build a bespoke package with our school, based on the needs shared to them by staff but also from their observations of our environment and our pastoral interventions. Students are inspired to keep on track with a clear progress plan, clearly communicated with students and the school. Abrial also worked with students to build long-term plans and goals, giving something to aim for beyond the conclusion of their intervention. Abrial were reliable and professional. We would not hesitate to use their services again.
I just wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you on this wet and miserable Monday morning. Your sound advice and strong sense of self have really enabled me to better understand and enjoy the challenges during my first year as an Assistant Head.
I absolutely had to have you back to present to our EYFS managers. I am not exaggerating; it was the best training I have ever had.
Miranda and Michael have been excellent in supporting me to navigate being a single full time working parent with two teenagers. They just have these tips on how to make it work, that no one else has.
Miranda & Michael have been an amazing support on what has been, at times, a rollercoaster ride of single parenting my now 15yo teen. A good 6 years I’ve been dipping in and out for support, notably as my son turned 14/15yo.
A support not only my son but for me, navigating a ridged school system, trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I cannot put into words how this has helped.
Not only do they bring decades of experience in the education sector but a perfect dose of compassion & kindness.
Highly recommend their services to anyone needing a helping hand.
I contacted Abrial after a recommendation from a friend because my son was struggling with year 13 at school. He was under-performing in two of his three A’ level subjects and was feeling that school was nagging rather than helping. He has adhd and had got himself into a super-stressed but paralysed state and was switching off entirely.
Michael from Abrial was a very calm voice of reason, with no agenda and their discussions helped my son to focus on what HE wanted and showed him a way forwards. Regular chats kept him accountable- but accountable to his own ambitions and kept him going to the finish line.
Even on the day before results day we had a great chat with Michael which helped us to understand his options and switch the situation in his mind from a failure to get his first choice, to a proactive choice of next steps. Harry chose a degree with a foundation year and is loving it.
I’m honestly not sure Harry would have made it to the end without dropping out without Michael’s help and Harry feels he has learnt some important life lessons and coping mechanisms from the process too. I would recommend speaking to Abrial to anyone with a child who is struggling at school. Sometimes an external, impartial, non-judgemental and highly experienced voice is just what’s needed.
